Manchester United Transfer News: Jose Mourinho Closing In On Signing Brazilian Fabinho From Monaco

Published on:

Jose Mourinho is no stranger to seeking talents, especially when he has worked with them, like in the current transfer rumour of signing Brazilian right-winger Fabinho.

Mourinho has been a fan of the 22-year-old since his tenure at Real Madrid and according to Brazilian daily, Globo Esporte, it claims the pair could soon link up again at Old Trafford.

Fabinho moved to the Bernabeu in Mourinho’s first season, but only featured for the ‘B’ team.

The Portuguese boss’ replacement, Carlo Ancelotti, sent him on loan to Monaco for two seasons.

Fabinho eventually joined the French side permanently last season where he scored eight times in all competitions.

He has four Brazil caps and was part of the squad for last two Copa America campaigns, but did not feature in either.

Fabinho’s agent is Jorge Mendes, who also represents Mourinho.

United’s current No.1 right-back, Matteo Darmian, could be on his way back to his native Italy.

He has been linked with a move to Napoli, while Juventus were also interested until they signed Alves.
