Indian Super League (ISL) is set to kick-start its fourth season and promises to take the nation by storm. The new season will include two new teams – Bengaluru FC and Jamshedpur FC – promising more entertainment and high-octane footballing action after expanding from eight teams to 10.

ISL 2017 18: Everything You Need To Know About Revamped League... New Teams, Marquee Players, Squad AnalysisThe Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has provided a major boost by recognising the ISL as a national league and now the winners will be guaranteed a spot in the next edition of the AFC Cup.

Like every other year, ISL will follow the Major League Soccer format – with the top four teams after the league stage playing in the semi-finals and finally the club winning the final will lift the trophy.

There has been a change in the rules and this will definitely help in the growth of the domestic players. From now onwards every team will have to field a minimum of six Indian players in the starting line-up with each of the teams also need to include a minimum of two U-21 players in their squad.

The fourth edition of the ISL will kick-start on 17 November, 2017 and the league stage matches will end on 4 March, 2018. The semi-finals will be played from the second week of March 2018 with the final scheduled to be held on 17 March, 2018 in Kolkata.

FootTheBall brings to you an in-depth squad analysis of the 10 clubs.
