Biggest Transfer Rumour Of The Season, Manchester United Eye Swap For David De Gea With Sergio Ramos
Manchester United are preparing to say goodbye to their best player(on current form) David De Gea, with the Spanish giants Real Madrid making an official bid for the star goal-keeper, but in a surprising turn of events United have turned down the offer said to be in the range of €18m, as the club is not interested in the money but Madrid’s defender Sergio Ramos.
Ramos is the star of the ‘Galácticos‘ defence, with the Spanish international having over 400 caps for the club and 128 appearances for the national side.
Ramos has a buy-out clause of €180m with his contract running till July 2017.
Rumors have been rift about Ramos being unsettled, with reports emerging about tensions between the player and the club.
The Barcelona presidential candidate Jordi Majo claiming that he was indirectly offered services of the Real Madrid vice-captain earlier this week.
While De Gea has just one year left on his contract and the players wish to live in Spain will force United into selling him, Real are in a better position with Ramos still having 2 years left on his contract.
Florentino Perez’s unwillingness to offer a new contract appears to be a positive sign for United, as it is highly unusual for Perez, who has appointed Rafael Benitez to replace Ancelotti, to allow a player to run his contract down into the last two years.
