Arsenal remains bottom of Group F in the Champions League but the Gunners finally got their campaign underway with a 2-0 win over Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

After losing both opening matches for the first time, Arsenal desperately needed a win to keep alive its hopes of reaching the knockout round.

Arsene Wenger’s men delivered at the Emirates Stadium, ending Bayern’s run of 12 straight wins with second-half goals from France striker Olivier Giroud and Germany playmaker Mesut Ozil.

Barcelona’s unbeaten start to the Champions League season continued on Tuesday, as manager Luis Enrique’s men emerged with a 2-0 victory over BATE Borisov at Borisov Arena to retain their place at the Group E summit.

Neymar set up substitute Ivan Rakitic to score two goals as Barcelona won 2-0 at BATE Borisov in the Champions League on Tuesday, strengthening the defending champion’s lead in Group E.

Neymar, coming off his four-goal performance over the weekend, again led the team with Lionel Messi unavailable because of injury.

The Brazil striker created several opportunities that his teammates failed to finish off before Rakitic broke through from Neymar’s pass with a pinpoint shot from outside the area in the 48th minute.

Neymar again found Rakitic all alone in the 64th to guarantee three points.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is unhappy his side were not awarded a penalty during their 0-0 draw against Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League.

The Blues hit the woodwork twice and had a strong penalty appeal waved away when Cesc Fabregas went down after a Serhiy Rybalka challenge.

Mourinho describes the result as “acceptable” and felt his side performed well against a Kiev side that is very strong defensively.

They were Rakitic’s first goals for Barcelona since his opener in last season’s final against Juventus that the Spanish side won 3-1.
