In a series of ‘misfires’ (literally), Hungary, Belgium and Portugal are the latest countries to face UEFA’s disciplinary procedures due to fans’ misbehaviour at Euro 2016.

In their 1-1 draw with Iceland, Hungary fans threw objects, set off fireworks and were also involved in crowd disturbances with the Hungarian Football Federation fending to answer the charges against them. Hungary was already facing UEFA’s flak over charges relating to fireworks set off during their opening match against Austria.

The Royal Belgian Football Association have also been charged with setting off fireworks and throwing objects after their 3-0 win over Republic of Ireland.

The fan was seen taking a selfie with Cristiano Ronaldo soon after the final whistle was blown.

All these cases will be dealt by UEFA’s control, ethics and disciplinary body on Tuesday.

Russia has already received a suspended disqualification from the tournament over hooliganism by their fans during the 1-1 draw against England in Marseille. Other nations facing proceedings for off-field altercations by fans are Croatia, Turkey, Romania and Albania.

Croatia has a serious offence of racism charged against them.
