Things took a dangerous turn when Philippe Coutinho was ruled out after an ankle ligament injury against Sunderland last month and the Reds have since been struggling.

Liverpool suffered further set-back when striker Daniel Sturridge was ruled out due to calf issues and has not played in any of the last 4 games.

Marko Grujic is also out, Emre Can is getting an injured knee healed and Danny Ings has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a cartilage damage.coutinho

While Dejan Lovren also had to be subbed-off after sustaining a cramp in the 2-2 draw against West Ham – while Adam Lallana, Roberto Firmino and Joel Matip have also just recovered from minor injuries.

The German tactician had to use reserve attacking trio of Ben Woodburn, Ovie Ejaria and Trent Alexander-Arnold against the Hammers and admitted that his squads depth had suffered immensely.Liverpool - Jurgen Klopp

“If you watch our bench yesterday – very experienced in defence and not in the same way experienced in the offence. If the situation stays like this then it’s clear that we have open eyes for everything,” the Reds boss said.

“But the winter transfer market is maybe the most difficult one because the players you want, the other clubs doesn’t want to give you. It’s not about money. The players you don’t want, you can have. That’s all.”pulisic

“We are always looking. Maybe it’s a surprise, but we work always hard on this part of the business because we need to have an overview about everything. That’s what we do, but nothing else.”

Jurgen Klopp is expected to make a move for his former club Borussia Dortmund’s teenage starlet Christian Pulisic as the German side have admitted that they would be willing to let the forward leave to work with the 49-year-old.
