Jose Mourinho Will Bring Back Attacking Football At Manchester United Believes Scholes

Jose Mourinho will play attacking and exciting football if he is appointed the manager by the club believes Manchester United legend Paul Scholes.

Mourinho has been linked with United for over six month now, the rumor mill started buzzing as soon as he was sacked by Chelsea and his appointment is seen as a mere formality after the sacking of Louis Van Gaal.

LVG was sacked on Monday, just two days after winning the FA Cup, United’s first trophy since 2013.

“The fans at Man United demand entertaining football and I’m sure Mourinho will come and try and give it,” former midfielder Scholes was quoted as saying by BBC on Wednesday.

Scholes had been very critical of Van Gaal’s tactics, he even went as far as stating that United were playing boring football.

Manchester United managed to finish fifth in the Premier League even after scoring just 49 goals..

“I think Mourinho will have watched that closely and will have seen what happened,

“He’s a top manager, he’s proven that before and hopefully he can do that again.” Scholes added.

Scholes is also confident that Ryan Giggs who served as assistant manager under Van Gaal, will also be retained.

The 41-year-old additionally was hopeful that Ryan Giggs who was colleague chief under van Gaal, will keep his place at United.

“I think it’s important that there’s some form of continuity,” he said. “Hopefully he’ll still be at the club, hopefully still working with the first team.

“He knows the club inside out, he’s been there for nearly 30 years now.”
