Premier League Champions Leicester City have officially announced the signing of Hannover goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler on a four year contract, which will see him at the club till June 2020.

Zieler was a part of Germany’s World Cup winning squad two years ago in Brazil. He joined the Bundesliga side – Hannover in 2010.

In an interview to the club’s website Zieler said, ‘’ It feels great coming to Leicester and joining the Club after they’ve had such a great season – it’s really nice to be part of the Club now. I’ve been shown around the training ground and it looks very good and I’ve been to the stadium – I heard about the great atmosphere and the great fans, so my first impression is very good.”

Recent rumours suggest that the champion side are all set to sign a new 5-year-contract with 29-year-old goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel. With the champions league campaign ahead Leicester City are looking to revamp the squad are expected to busy this transfer window.

Leicester City were dependent mostly on home-grown players for their incredible title winning campaign last season but with a spot in the European competition, the club now is in search of reinforcements in this summer transfer window.

“We are watching. Of course, we want to build a very good team. First of all we want to keep our stars, our group, because it’s a fantastic group. It will be important to find the right players with the right mentality and intelligence, and fighters,” siad Ranieri while commenting on the transfer market.
