Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi visited a casino in Bahamas just hours before his final hearing for the tax fraud case in Spain.
According to FootTheBall sources, the 29-year old playing blackjack sitting at a roulette table at the Atlantis Resort in Bahamas.
It was also reported that the recently retired Argentina captain was seen smoking heavily, as he puffed cigarette after cigarette.
Though our sources have claimed that Messi was in “good spirits”, but he did not want to approached by fellow gamblers.
Messi was spotted enjoying at the casino with his father, who along with Lionel was found guilty on three counts of tax fraud.
Messi and his dad were found guilty of using tax heavens for tax evasion and have been fined over £3 million.
The father-son have also been handed a 21-month sentence, though the pair will not be spending time in jail due to loop-holes in the Spanish law.
The superstar is being heavily linked with Chelsea, and a deal is very likely after the court decision, as reports emerge that Barcelona president is worried about his star-man leaving the club.
Messi last competed in the Copa America 2016, leading his team to the finals, but failed to lift the trophy, after which he announced retirement from international football.
And football legend Diego Maradona, Messi’s former coach in the Argentine national team, wasn’t impressed.
