Bayern Munich’s new manager Carlo Ancelotti was finally unveiled by the club yesterday.

Ancelotti has replaced Pep Guardiola, who has taken over the reigns at Manchester City.

The 57-year old received a welcoming surprise from his predecessor, as Pep left a hand-written message for him in the manager’s office.

The message read “With high esteem, may you have good luck Carlo!”

Ancelotti said that it was a very pleasant gesture by the Spanish manager.

“Good Luck! He wrote it in Italian and capital letters on the wall,” said the Italian tactician. That was very pleasant, we have a good relationship.”

Ancelotti looked all set for the new season, as the former Chelsea boss took charge dressed in shorts and a training shirt.

While Guardiola has been busy with press commitments and identifying transfer targets as the former Barcelona manager prepares for what is probably the toughest job of his managing career.

Ironically though, Pep and Ancelotti will lock horns in their very first match’s for their new club’s against each-other, as Bayern Munich face Manchester City in pre-season friendly on July 20.
