France and Juventus star Paul Pogba is edging closer to a summer switch to Old Trafford as fresh rumours suggest that the Premier League giants Manchester United and the player have agreed on personal terms ahead of an anticipated club transfer record bid.

New Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has been busy this summer as he looks to refurbish the squad before the upcoming Premier League campaign.

Mourinho has made an immediate impact after signing Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan this summer. Recent reports claim that he is still on the hunt for a top-notch central midfielder and it is believed that the talented French midfielder Paul Pogba is the final piece of the jigsaw puzzle that Mourinho has been desperately looking for.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the Red Devils are all geared up to launch a bid of €120m for the  23-year-old central midfielder, which would make him the most expensive player, not only in the Manchester United squad but in the entire world.

The report also states that Manchester United have agreed in principle with Pogba over personal terms which guarantees the player an annual salary of €13m with a wage in the region of £215,000-per-week after tax deductions.

Highlighting on the same subject, The Daily Mail states that Manchester United are prepared to offer Pogba a wage packet of £300,000 a week on a five-year contract.

Manchester Evening News had earlier cited its own source that claimed that Pobga would happily accept an offer from Manchester United if Juventus are willing to sell him this summer.

However, Pogba’s father said that a move to Real Madrid will be ‘interesting’ in a recent interview with Deportes Cuatro.

“It would be interesting for the family if Paul signed for Real Madrid,” Fassou Antoine Pogba said.

“We would like him to play in a better league, but it is up to him to decide what team he wants to play for and that is the situation we currently find ourselves in.”

Mourinho is believed to be fond of the French midfielder and believes that Pogba will be instrumental in strengthening the squad. Pogba joined united in 2009 as a youth prospect form Le Harve but made a move to Juventus on a free transfer due to lack of game time.

After joining the Bianconeri, Pogba has won three consecutive Serie A titles and has documented his name among the world’s best midfielders.

“We decided four targets. From these targets, we have three. Until we don’t have the fourth, we are still working hard. Myself and the structure,” said Mourinho while attending his first official press conference at Old Trafford.

“When we have the fourth, I will breathe,” he added.
