Borussia Dortmund have taken a back-track as latest reports confirm that the German side is not willing to sell midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan this summer. After being frustrated by Dortmund’s tantrums over the transfer negotiations for Mkhitaryan, Manchester United have set their eyes on Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey this summer and are expected to make a stunning offer for the Welsh star.

Mourinho has been busy this summer in search of fresh players as he looks forward to bolster the midfield before the upcoming Premier League campaign. Fresh reports claim that Mourinho is ready to dispense with Spanish midfielder Juan Mata this summer as he had done the same when he sold Mata to Man Utd during his second spell at Chelsea last season.

The Red Devils are ready to approach Arsenal for Ramsey if they fail to secure the services of Mkhitaryan this summer. Mourinho is well aware of Ramsey’s technical ability and critics believe that the Welsh midfielder who has 5 goals to his name this season, can add a lot of depth to the United midfield.

FootTheBall sources claim that the 25-year-old Ramsey’s value is the region of £50m and have also confirmed that the Red Devils are preparing a £35m bid to lure away the Welsh star to Old Trafford this summer.

Mkhitaryan

However it is believed that Mkhitaryan who has just one year left in his contract at Dortmund , tops Manchester United’s wishlist this transfer window.

Earlier last week Borussia Dortmund had rejected United’s £19.3million bid for the 27-year-old Armenian and have been resolute in their ‘not for sale’ stance.

Manchester United have made an increased £28million move for Henrikh Mkhitaryan and super-agent Mino Raiola believes that he the Armenian midfielder to Old Trafford this summer.
