After months of speculation about his future, Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic has confirmed that he will sign for Manchester United.
The 34-year old has left Paris Saint Germain on a free contract after he let his contract expire with the French club.
Zlatan spent 4 years in the French capital winning four consecutive Ligue 1 titles.
Zlatan has won 13 league titles in the last 15 seasons that he has played, which is quite a feat for any professional footballer.
“Time to let the world know. My next destination is Manchester United #iamcoming,” he confirmed to fans via Instagram, as he posted a picture of the club’s logo.
Zlatan has in the past stated his desire to re-unite with Manchester United’s new boss Jose Mourinho after working with the Portuguese super coach at Inter Milan in the 2008-09 season.
Zlatan has famously said that Mourinho turned him into a lion, and it showed on the pitch as Zlatan went on to score 25 league goals for the first time in his career.
The Recently retired Sweden captain comes to Premier League on the back of his best season till date, as he scored an astonishing 50 goals in 51 appearances.
Zlatan also helped PSG complete a second straight domestic treble as the Oil rich club won the Ligue 1 title, the Coupe de France and the Coupe de la Ligue.
The 34-year old will be play a very important role in shaping the future for a very young Manchester United attack line, with 20-year-old Anthony Martial and 18-year-old Marcus Rashford still pretty in-experienced.
Mourinho will be hoping that the youngsters can learn something from the vastly experienced Swede who is truely one of the greatest of his generation and all time.
The deal was doing rounds for weeks now and it was claimed that Zlatan was only waiting for his contract to expire, which in-turn would allow him to collect loyalty bonus from PSG.
