Swedish legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic has given a nod to a summer switch to Manchester United on a 1-year contract and will undergo a medical at Old Trafford after Euro 2016.

Zlatan had an incredible 4-year run at PSG with 4 consecutive La Liga titles to his name. He scored 38 league goals in 31 appearances this season and holds a club record of 156 goals in 180 matches across all competitions in four years.

Zlatan has been under the radar of top European clubs since he announced his exit from PSG as a free agent this summer. Manchester United was the first to make a move as Mourinho is known to be fond of the Swedish striker as he was hugely successful with Zlatan at Inter Milan. Earlier Zlatan had hinted at a Premier League move but chose not to give out much information when asked by a number of Journalists.

Later in a press conference he had confirmed that Manchester United have approached him to strike a deal this summer and he also hinted at other offers coming his way from big Premier League clubs.

Recent media reports confirm that Zlatan will immediately move to Old Trafford after Euro 2016, to undergo medical examinations before confirming the switch.

Manchester United vice-chairman Ed Woodward have recently held talks with Zlatan’s agent Mino Raiola as they negotiated the contract in detail. It has been reported in several publications that Zlatan seemed to be happy with the terms that Manchester United have mentioned in the deal. However the negotiations stretched a bit longer than expected and the deal couldn’t be confirmed before Euro 2016.

Earlier this week Zlatan added fire to Manchester United’s interests as he announced that he was better than ever and is confident to hold on to his form in the future.

“I feel I am getting better and better with every year that passes. I have been dominating wherever I go. I have no issue about that,’’ he said.

“I am very confident. I go into the tournament with a strong season behind me and I am here in France, where I have been living for the last few years, to enjoy.

“What I do every day is play football. You have to have the hunger to become a better player, to learn new things and work hard on the pitch. If you want it, you are able to do it. I know what I want and I know I am going to do it – the legend can still deliver,” he concluded.
