Chelsea To Launch £43m Bid To Land Tiemoue Bakayoko And Could Offer Batshuayi To Seal Deal

Premier League champions Chelsea are set to launch a whooping £43million bid for roping in AS Monaco star Tiemoue Bakayoko – and could also offer Michy Batshuayi to the Ligue 1 champions in order to seal the deal.

Foottheball sources reveal that the Chelsea hierarchy are keen on securing the services of the Monaco star and it is believed that Bakayoko could become Conte’s first signing in the summer.

Conte wants to bolster his squad as they return to Champions League football next season and also to maintain their dominance in the Premier League. And now the former Juventus boss is set to open negotiations with the French champions next week.

Foottheball had earlier revealed that Conte will be handed a £200m transfer war-chest by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and now sources reveal that the Blues would begin their summer business with the signing of Bakayoko.

Chelsea have also identified Bakayoko’s team-mate Thomas Lemar.

But the Blues bosses have realised that the Ligue 1 champions would not be willing to sell both the players and so they have shifted their interest only in Bakayoko.

Batshuayi has lacked game-time under Conte this season but he scored the winning goal against West Brom that guaranteed Chelsea the title.

And now FootTheBall sources reveal that the Belgian striker could be sold or loaned to Monaco in bid to convince them to sell Bakayoko.

It is believed that Monaco have shown interest in Batshuayi, who is not happy with life in London and has just league goals to his name this season following his £33m transfer from Marseille last summer.
