The one person who will miss Chiellini the most is his old foe, the Uruguayan Luis Suarez.
Suarez was banned for four months after he bit Chiellini in the World Cup clash between Italy and Uruguay.
Chiellini had spoken about meeting Suarez in the final earlier this week, when he said, he had “no problem at all” and would “happily hug him”.
Juventus will miss Chiellini in the line up, and this could very well turn out to be major factor on the final result.
While Barcelona have included the injured Andres Iniesta in the 26 man squad ahead of Sunday’s clash.
It is expected that Iniesta will play the final, despite tweaking a leg muscle in Barcelona’s 3-1 victory over Athletic Bilbao in the Copa Del Ray final.
Both the teams are chasing a treble this season, while Barcelona have already clinched the La Liga and Copa Del Ray, Juventus have also won their fourth straight Seria A title and also won the Coppa Italia, defeating Lazio 2-1 in the final.
Juventus last reached the Champions League finals in 2003, when they were beaten 3-2 on penalties by AC Milan.
