Kylian Mbappe Has A Long Way To Go Before He Can Be Called World-Class

Kylian Mbappe has a long way to go before he can truly become world class, Monaco head-coach Leonardo Jardim has said.

The teenager has become one of the most sought after forward in Europe ever-since he broke through the first-team at Monaco.

The 18-year-old has been sensational this season, having scored 19 goals and provided 11 assists in all competition this season.

The Frenchamn has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea and Manchester United – but he has insisted that he is not ready to move to a top club just yet.

Jardim also feels the same – although he did praise the striker, saying that he is impressed with how he has dealt with acclaim and fame.

“We worked on it [the impact of the media with Mbappe] because Kylian started to play with us four, five months ago, and we’re still supporting him, because he’s still an 18-year-old kid,” Jardim said.

“But he’s quite mature, I’ve watched him talk to the media. He’s very calm, he understands very well what he needs to do.”

“He needs to keep improving and keep his high level.”

Monaco are on-course to ending Paris Saint Germain’s five-year reign as Ligue 1 champions – as they lead the league with a three point advantage over PSG.
