Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho wants Manchester United to launch a bid of at least £50million for Tottenham left-back Danny Rose, according to reports.

Danny Rose could be on the move this month

The Three Lions full-back recently returned to action for Spurs, having spent the last nine months on the sidelines due to a career-threatening knee injury.

Mourinho wants to increase his options in the left-back position and Man Utd have shown huge interest in roping in the England star in the recent months.

Speculations suggest that the Red Devils bosses are even ready to offer Luke Shaw in a swap plus cash deal to secure the services of Rose.

Sources have revealed that Tottenham would not listen to any offer for Rose which is below £50m.

When Mourinho was asked whether he will sign players in the on-going January transfer window, he said: “I honestly don’t know [about transfers].

“I know in this moment we are in trouble, in two or three weeks time maybe we recover some players and we breathe in a different way.

“Can we improve now or do we wait until the summer to try to do it? I cannot say.”
