Jamie Vardy on Saturday equalled Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record of scoring in 10 consecutive Premier League matches to lead Leicester City to a 3-0 victory over Newcastle United at St. James’s Park.

With this 3-0 victory, Leicester City moved to the top of the Premier League table. Van Nistelrooy’s had set the record over two seasons, but Vardy has become the first player to achieve such a feat in a single season.
Van Nistelrooy had earlier in the week taken to social media to wish Vardy luck in his quest to write his name into the record books.

And he’s done it, brilliant team goal from Leicester, although they were passing round traffic cones dressed as #nufc players.

Jamie Vardy may have set the Prem record, but he is still 4 away from the Jody Banim’s English record of 14 in a row at @radcliffeboro

I don’t get this Jamie Vardy form. He only got 5 last season and year before that he only won penalties for David Nugent.
