West Ham Set To Splash £50M For Arsenal Stars Olivier Giroud And Theo Walcott

West Ham are keen on roping in both Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott from Arsenal, and are also chasing out-of-favour Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho, FootTheBall understands.

The Hammers are set spend big this summer and are focussing on bolstering their attack as boss Slaven Bilic wants more firepower.

FootTheBall had revealed a week ago that West Ham had held talks with Giroud’s representatives over a possible £20 million switch to the London stadium.

They had put on plate a base wage of £100,000-per-week for Giroud as they are eager to sign him on a four-year contract.

The Gunners are eyeing to rope in Alexandre Lacazette and West Ham believe that the Arsenal hierarchy will sell Giroud to fund the transfer move for the Lyon striker.

The Hammers have also set their eyes on Walcott and it is believed that they are on the verge of plotting a move for the English player. However, the West Ham hierarchy would face an uphill battle in landing him as Arsenal have valued him at over £30m.

On the contrary, it seems that out-of-favour City star Iheanacho is an easier target for the Hammers.

iheanachoIheanacho has found life difficult at Manchester City and completed 90 minutes just once in the Premier League last season. He has gone down the pecking order, behind Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero.

He has four goals and three assists to his name in 20 games and West Ham are eying to convince the Man City bosses to let him leave on a permanent transfer deal.
