Real Madrid are planning to launch a bid for Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah and are ready to offer Galactico Lucas Vazquez as part of a swap plus cash deal, according to reports.
Salah has displayed incredible form since his move to Liverpool from Roma in the summer and already has 19 goals to his name for the Merseyside giants in all competitions.
The Liverpool forward is now under the radar of Europe’s biggest clubs.
The Egyptian has also been rewarded with the BBC African Player of the Year award earlier today.
The former Roma winger played a pivotal role in guiding Egypt to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Salah scored five of the seven goals in Egypt’s World Cup qualifying campaign.
The Egyptian scored a late strike against Congo in October to make sure that his country qualified for their first ever World Cup in over a quarter of a century.
And his incredible form this season has caught the attention of the La Liga giants Real Madrid.
Real Madrid have made a poor start this season and are fourth in the La Liga table – eight points behind current league leaders Barcelona.
The Los Blancos sealed a place in the knock-out of the Champions League but they finished second in their group and drew Paris Saint-German in the last-16.
Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidne is under pressure and is desperate to overturn their form as quickly as possible and has admitted in public that he will try everything possible to bolster the squad in January.
And he has now identified Liverpool forward Salah as his top transfer target.
Earlier this month, Zidane was keen on roping in of Inter Milan froward Mauro Icardi but Real Madrid eventually dropped their interest in the Argentine forward as they are not willing to match the sky-high asking price.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is ready to offer Vazquez as part of a swap plus cash deal in order to tempt Liverpool to sell Salah.
Vazquez has scored just three goals in 21 appearances at the Bernabeu this season.
And he along with Welsh forward Gareth Bale are reportedly set to be offloaded as Zidane looks to revamp his squad in January.
But it is believed that Red boss Jurgen Klopp will not be willing to sell in-form Salah, as they are in the race for a top-four finish in the Premier League.
