Barcelona Star Lionel Messi Influencing Deal For Tottenham’s Dele Alli With Real Madrid Keen

Lionel Messi has urged Barcelona to sign Tottenham star Dele Alli despite Real Madrid showing huge interest in the English attacking midfielder.

Messi reportedly wants Barca to sign Alli

Barcelona bosses are keen to add more strength to their midfield with reports claiming that Ivan Rakitic’s Barcelona future is in doubt.

Rakitic has been struggling to earn regular game-time under new Barca boss Ernesto Valverde and rumours have linked him with a move away from the Nou Camp.

And according to Don Balon, Lionel Messi wants Barcelona to rope in Alli from Tottenham next summer in order to bolster their midfield.

Meanwhile, Dele Alli has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid in the recent weeks.

Real Madrid have showed huge interest in Alli in the recent months

The English star had scored an incredible brace in Tottenham’s 3-1 win over Real Madrid in the Champions League and since then he has caught the attention of Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane, who is now desperate to land him at the Bernabeu.

However, according to Don Balon, Messi wants Barcelona to steal Alli form under the noses of their arch rival Real Madrid.

Liverpool superstar Philippe Coutinho has been heavily linked with a move to the Nou Camp in January, having previously failed to force his move through to Barcelona during the summer transfer window.

Messi reportedly wants Barca to drop their interest in Coutinho and sign Dele Alli instead

However, Messi wants Barcelona to take a gamble and rope in Alli instead.

Back in May, Alli refused to rule out a move away from Spurs if a club come calling with the right offer.

“We all want to achieve stuff,” Alli told Sky Sports.

“It’s a good place to be, and with the manager we’ve got here I can’t see many better places for me personally to improve.

“It’s a fantastic club to be a part of. We’re all looking to learn together and build together and be as successful as we can.

“You never say what’s going to happen in the future, no-one knows, no-one can predict it.

“For me, it’s important that I enjoy the journey – whether I stay at Tottenham for the rest of my career or one day I have to leave and it’s the right thing for me to do.”
