AubameyangBorussia Dortmund’s highly rated and chased star forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has said that he wants to stay at the Signal Iduna Park for a long time.

The prolific striker was heavily linked with a move to Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal at the start of the transfer window, but was last week quoted as saying that he will leave Dortmund if Real Madrid came calling.

However, the 27-year old has rubbished those claims and has come out in full-force stating his desire to stay at the club.

Aubameyang scored a whooping 39 goals in all competition last season and became one of the nost sought after player in Europe, but after his recent remarks it seems highly unlikely that he will be making a move away from the Signal Iduna Park.

“I’m not done here yet,” Aubameyang said.

“I want to stay with BVB for a long time. I still want to achieve a lot with Dortmund and I’m not interested in changing clubs.”

Aubameyang excited with the arrival of Andre Schurlle and Mario Gotze, said that Dortmund can mount a serious challenge to Bayern Munich this season and adds that the club can beat their bitter rivals.

“I want to win titles with Gotze and Schurrle this season. We know how difficult it will be. However, we don’t want to dismiss our ambitions. At least one trophy must be the aim.”

However, the 27-year old is yet to win any silverware since he joined the club in 2013.

He finished as runner-up last season in both the Bundesliga and the DFB Pokal last season, but belives the club are now fully capable of finishing above Bayern.

“We have the potential to beat FC Bayern this season and want to cause them problems this season,” the 27-year-old said.

“I find that we have more potential [than last season]. We added many young players – they are all very talented. It’s the right path to win titles in the future again,” Aubameyang added.

Aubameyang is set to miss Dortmund’s International Champions Cup match against Manchester City in China after he took an extended break to stay with his partner who is expected to give birth to their second child soon.
