Premier League Giants Arsenal are all geared up to overtake Chelsea’s tempting bid for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.

Arsenal star striker Oliver Giroud has played a pivotal role in France’s juouney to the final of the on-going European Championship, but fans believe still believe that the Gunners lack fire power in the front. Foottheball sources reports that Arsenal manager agrees to the popular fan opinion and he is all set to launch a club record bid for the Spanish striker this summer.

9. Álvaro Morata

Mortata had joined Juventus on loan from Real Madrid in July 2014 for a transfer fee of 20 million euros. Morata had an incredible run at Juventus and he established himself as one of the most talented young strikers in the world with 27 goals to his name from 93 appearances in all competitions.

Earlier this week Spanish giants triggered the buy-back clause in Morata’s contract with Juventus and officially paid £23m for resigning the striker Alvaro from Italian Champions. However, critics believe that Real Madrid have no intention to use him as a deputy for French striker Karim Benzema, as they would like to make profit by selling Morata this summer.

Morata has already made it clear that he needs to be assured game time at Real Madrid to continue his growth as a footballer, but with big guns like Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema already in the the squad, the club would find it difficult to use the services of Morata on a regular basis.

The 23-year-old striker has been under the radar of top European clubs, with the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United thought to be the favourites to secure his signatures this summer.

Foottheball sources confirm that Real Madrid are looking for an offer in the region of £70m despite paying only £23m for resigning the player from Juventus.

It is believed that incoming Blues manager Antonio Conte who has rich history managing Juventus, is keen on matching the asking price as he is keen on roping the serives of Morata to bolster his squad this summer. On the contrary, sources reveal that Morata is more inclined towards a move to the Emirates because Arsenal can offer him Champions League football.

Wenger

With this huge advantage of a place in the European competition, Arsene Wenger is all set to place a club record bid of £65m for securing the services of the Spanish striker.

Michy Batshuayi

Chelsea have already signed Michy Batshuayi last week and with Diego Costa confirming his stay at Chelsea, but Conte’s desperate pursuit for Morta establishes an opinon that the former Juventus manager would bring a change in Chelsea’s favoured tactical formation 4-2-3-1.

The Italian manager mostly deployed a 3-5-2 formation during his time at Juventus and it is believed that he is going to cultivate that style in Chelsea too.
