Lionel Messi Named World’s Most Valuable Player, Know Which English Star Makes The Cut

superstar has topped the list of world’s most valuable footballer in a study conducted by CIES Football Observatory, Messi was valued at €211 million.

The Argentina international was followed by Barca team-mate who was valued at €202 million, while three time Ballon d’Or came third, valuing just €138 million.

forward and French international Antoine Griezmann is valued at €120 million, after a fantastic season with the Los Rojiblancos, making the top four a La Liga playing field.

Tottenham’s star Harry Kane finished fifth after another fantastic campaign where the England international won the Golden Boot, Kane was valued at €113 million.

At six is Anthony Martial, another player from the Premier League. The 20 year old Manchester United forward was valued at an astonishing €112 million.

Martial was closely followed by Barcelona hit-man who was valued at €106 million and Juventus attacker Paulo Dybala who was valued at €105 million.

Only eight players were valued over €100 million.

At ninth came Manchester City starlet Sergio Aguero, the Argentina international was valued at €97 million followed by Juventus play-maker Paul Pogba who was valued at €90 million.

Another Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale finished 11th with a value of €81 million, while ’s magician Eden Hazard finished twelfth with a value of €78 million.

Dele Alli was crowned as the 14th most valuable player in the world at €74 million while his England team-mate was valued at €73 million.

Hector Bellerin was named the most valuable defender in the world, the defender who is a transfer target for Barcelona is worth a whopping €56 million.

While Chelsea’s POTY Willian was valued at €51 million, Outside the top 30 were Leicester City’s marathon-man N’Golo Kante who is worth €44 million, followed by Manchester United’s number 7 Memphis Depay and Kante’s Leicester team-mate , both worth €42 million.

Party-boy was valued at €35 million, along with Angel Di Maria, Sadio Mane, Felipe Anderson and Dimitri Payet.
