Swedish captain Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to sign for Manchester United under their soon to be boss Jose Mourinho, making it the first signing for the Portuguese boss.

The duo had previously worked together at Inter Milan during Mourinho’s first year at the Italian giants, Zlatan has since stated his admiration for Jose and has time and again stated his desire  to work under the former Chelsea boss.

Rumors had been doing rounds for days about the stylish striker signing for the Red Devils, after he stated that he would be leaving PSG at the end of his contract this summer.

The buzz around a Jose-Zlatan reunion got even more stronger after the news of Louis Van Gaal’s sacking broke out.

Zlatan had another fantastic year at the French capital, with the towering striker scoring 49 goals in all competition, more then double of any of his team-mates.

Numerous clubs were interested in scoring the signature of the legendary Swede, but now it looks like United have managed to sneak both, one of the world’s best manager and player under from the watch of rivals.

But the shocker about Zlatan and Jose’s re-union is the role that the former Barcelona star will play at United. Zlatan will reportdly take over from Ryan Giggs as the new assistant manager, and will also be a part of the playing squad for the first twelve months of his stay at the Old Trafford.

It is also reported that the PSG superstar will demand salary around £300,000 per week after taxes to join the Premier League giants.

Earlier it was reported that Manchester United had paid Mourinho £4 million to wait for the Job until the end of the season and looking at Jose’s record and the likeliness of his appointment, it sure looks like a bargain deal.

Jose will be handed a £200 million budget to overhaul the squad and the board will be expecting instant results, eyeing the Premier League title next season.

Jose has reportedly already started contacting players about joining him at United next season and it will be interesting to see how things unfold from here.
