Cristiano Ronaldo Offers Financial Help To Wildfire Victims In Madeira
The fires, which begun on Monday, have killed at least three and caused around a thousand people to leave their homes.
Ronaldo also expressed solidarity with his home island on social media networks. “It is with a tight heart that I witness what is happening in Madeira (and other parts of the country). I wish a lot of strength to all and thank you to the fighters who are brave enough to risk their lives to save so many others. I am with you!” he wrote.
According to SIC news broadcaster, the Real Madrid player, originally from the Madeira island, had a telephone conversation with the President of the Regional Government Miguel Albuquerque and expressed his solidarity with the dire situation.
