Gunners contract rebel Alexis Sanchez has held talks with PSG at a lavish Paris hotel, according to the Sun.

Alexis Sanchez is in Paris and looks set to walk out on Arsenal

Sources told the Sun that the Chilean forward visited the five-star Royal Monceau Raffles to hold talks with PSG’s sporting director Antero Henrique.

The 28-year-old forward arrived at the £600-a-night hotel on a limousine on Friday.

And later Henrique was pictured leaving the hotel on Friday.

The source said: “His (Sanchez) business here is confidential, but we are very used to having superstar footballers staying.”

The Royal Monceau Raffles is only a half-hour drive from the Parc de Princes and is near the British Embassy in Paris.

Jese Rodriguez had stayed at the same hotel for several months before his switch to PSG from Real Madrid last year.

Earlier, FootTheBall reported that Paris Saint-Germain have sent their sporting director to London in order to seal a deal for Arsenal contract rebel Alexis Sanchez, according to reports.

Le Parisien via GFFN claimed that Antero Henrique has landed in London and will give his best to agree in principle with Arsenal over a transfer fee for the Chilean superstar.

Sanchez had reportedly accentuated last week that he desperately wants to play in the Champions League and has informed the club that he wants to leave this summer.

Alexis’ current contract with the Gunners is set to run out in 2018 and he is yet to sign a contract extension.

Sanchez has just 12 months left on his current deal with the Gunners

The Chilean currently takes home £140,000-a-week and sources reveal that he is now playing hardball with Wenger in order to squeeze a mega-money deal out of Arsenal.

Sanchez has also been heavily linked with a move to Manchester City where he will reunite with former boss Pep Guardiola.

Guardiola had Sanchez on his radar and wanted to sign him when he became Man City boss last summer.

But now the Manchester City boss has played down rumours about a move for Arsenal contract rebel Alexis Sanchez.

Arsene Wenger is keen to keep Alexis Sanchez at Arsenal and not sell to rivals Manchester City.

Guardiola said: “Alexis plays for Arsenal, so Arsene said that [Sanchez will stay]. He knows more than me.”

“We have two really good strikers in Sergio and Gabriel [Jesus] so, in those terms, we are good. It’s not about a striker.”

“The problem was, last season, Gabriel was out for a long time and we would like to see both of them together.”

“You know my opinion about Sergio. I said many times last season and I have not changed a word of what I said.”

“He is our player and he will remain here.”

And now Ligue 1 giants PSG are in pole position to sign Sanchez with a mega-money bid this summer, with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich conforming that they have no interest in the Chilean forward.

PSG are plotting a £45million offer for Sanchez, who is desperate to play in the Champions League.

But, Arsene Wenger is hopeful that a tempting new contract and the opportunity of living in London will persuade contract rebel Alexis Sanchez to stay put at Arsenal.

The French boss is confident that the former Barcelona man will stay put for the next season.

Earlier, FootTheBall had reported that Wenger has held talks with Alexis Sanchez via text message in order to convince him to stay.

The Gunners boss accentuated that the conversation with the Chilean star has been “very positive”.

Wenger believes that a new tempting contract worth £300,000-a-week could convince him to stay and prevent him from leaving the club this summer.

Wenger is adamant Sanchez will remain an Arsenal player.

He has said: “The decision has been made and we will stick to that.

“The decision is not to sell.”

Sanchez displayed incredible form last term – with 30 goals to his name in all competitions and also guided Arsenal to FA Cup triumph before helping his country to reach the Confederations Cup final, where they lost to Germany, and the Gunners boss expects him to be back in the squad at the end of the month.

Sanchez is expected to join the Gunnerssquad on July 30 when he returns from his holiday – and will meet Wenger for showdown talks about his Arsenal future.

PSG want to sign both Sanchez and Barca superstar Neymar as they want to see themselves as a dominant Champions League force.

PSG are also chasing Barcelona superstar and are ready to match his staggering £195million release clause.

FootTheBall sources reveal that Neymar has now told his friends that he will make a switch to PSG as he wants to test new waters.

And PSG boss Unai Emery is hoping that PSG can seal the deal for the Brazilian, which will smash all current transfer records.

He said: “Neymar has progressed a lot, the club is working to attract top five players. It’s not easy but we might succeed.”
