Bayern Munich And Chelsea Ready To Offer Unhappy Eric Dier A Spurs Escape Route

Bayern Munich and Chelsea are keen on roping in out-of-favour Spurs midfielder Eric Dier.

dierEric Dier has found life unhappy at Tottenham after the arrival of summer signing Victor Wanyama. The English midfielder is not happy after lacking game-time this season as Pochettino has shown more trust on his new man Wanyama.

And now Bundesliga side Bayern Munich and Premier League table toppers Chelsea are keen on offering Dier a Tottenham escape route.

In the recent weeks, Dier was used as a centre-back to cover up for Alderweireld, who was ruled out due to injury.

However, after the return of the Belgian defender, Dier faced the axe and went down the pecking order.

And now Dier is under the radar of top-flight clubs and it is believed that the English midfielder is worried about losing his place in England’s first-team if he fails to make his way back into the Spurs line-up.

dierGareth Southgate is more focused on using Dier as a midfielder and wants him to form a rock-solid partnership with Liverpool ace Jordan Henderson – at the centre of his new squad.

However, a lack of Premier League action could see Dier losing his first-team place to Danny Drinkwater or Jack Wilshere.

However, Dier is now set to start for Spurs as they face Hull City on Wednesday after Mousa Dembele suffered a foot injury in their 1-0 defeat to Manchester United at the weekend.

But pundits believe that Dier would his place to Dembele once he returns from injury.

wanyamaDembele is Pochettino’s first-choice as he is happy with his on-going partnership with Wanyama and sources claim youngster Harry Winks could also make the cut in the near future after being highly rated by the Spurs coaching staff.

Pochettino would be unwilling to offload Dier, who is still regarded as one of the Premier League’s brightest English player.

However, chairman Daniel Levy could think of making huge profit by selling the English midfielder, who had joined Spurs from Sporting for £4million two-and-a-half years ago.

Bayern Munich were impressed by Dier’s impressive performance in Euro 2016, but they saw their move rejected in the summer transfer window.

dier-benchedTo fend off further interest in the English midfielder, Spurs tied him down with a new new five-year deal in September but the Bundesliga giants are ready to re-launch a move if the English midfielder provides any hint about leaving the club.

And now Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is also interested in securing his services as the Italian manager is searching for a midfielder, who can easily drop back to his three-man defence – when needed.
