Van Der Sar was the first non-Italian goalkeeper for Juventus.

He moved from Ajax to Juventus after his contract expired and helped the team finish runner-ups for two consecutive seasons.

2. Cafu (RB)

Cafu moved to AC Milan from Roma in 2003 on a free transfer.

The Brazilian legend won Seria A, Champions League and the Club World Cup during his time with the Italian giants.

3. Sol Campbell (CB)

One of the most controversial free transfers of all time, Sol Campbell moved from Tottenham to Arsenal in 2001.

Campbell became the most hated player in the white half of North London, but won two Premier League titles and three FA Cups with Arsenal.

The Argentina international moved from Real Madrid to Inter in 2004 on a free transfer.

He was a key member of the 2010 treble winning Nerazzurri team and won five Scudetti.

McManaman switched from Liverpool to Real Madrid on a free transfer.

Liverpool had agreed a £12million deal with Barcelona, but the winger chose Real and went on to win two La Liga titles and two Champions League titles.

McAllister was a veteran playing for Coventry City when Gerard Houllier secured his services for Liverpool.

In a young Liverpool team, the 36 year old added the experience and helped the team win a cup treble, including the UEFA Cup

Larson moved from Celtic to Barcelona in 2004 after spending seven years with the Scottish giants.

He went on to win two La Liga titles, a Spanish Super Cup and was the game changer in the 2006 Champions League final against Arsenal.
