Arsenal Takes Lead In Premier League Table, Beats Everton 2-1; West Ham Drums Chelsea 2-1

Arsenal vs Everton:

Arsenal on Saturday took the lead of the Barclays Premier League by beating 10-man Everton 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium.

A header apiece by Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny within two minutes of each other secured the win, though Ross Barkley’s consolation goal piled the pressure on Arsenal as the visitors chased a late equaliser.

The Gunners feeling at the top of world may be short-lived if Manchester City decides to upset the Red Devils and nemesis Manchester United in their own turf at the Old Trafford.

Chelsea vs West Ham: Update

Chelsea’s woe of poor form continues when on Saturday West Ham decimated the Blues line up, 2-1 in a match that saw coach Jose Mourinho sent to the stands for his ill-temper behaviour.

Mauro Zarate gave West Ham the lead before Gary Cahill equalized for 10-man Chelsea, which had Nemanja Matic sent off in the first half. Andy Carroll headed in the winning goal in the 79th.

Referee Jon Moss ordered Mourinho to the stands at the interval before Gary Cahill equalised for Chelsea after 56 minutes, but substitute Andy Carroll won it for the hosts with a 79th-minute header.

Chelsea are 15th with 11 points while in the other afternoon kickoffs West Bromwich Albion won 1-0 at Norwich City and Watford were 2-0 victors at Stoke City.
