Chris Smalling Confirms Engagement To Sam Cooke

Manchester United defender Chris Smalling has announced his engagement to long-term girlfriend Sam Cooke on Instagram.

During the pair’s post-Euro 2016 holiday in Bali, Smalling popped the ‘big’ question, and she said ‘Yes’.

Taking to Instagram, Smalling wrote: “#Bali will be remembered for many reasons but the most memorable moment was when a certain @samcookephotography said yes!”

Cooke added a message on her account as well: “Who needs filters with sunsets like this! On July 9th @smalling made me the happiest girl alive. #soontobemrssmalling.”

However, it was not all sun and smiles. Earlier in Bali, Smalling was rushed to hospital after cutting his head and fainting following a severe bout of food poisoning.

Smalling and Sam have been spending time there following England’s doomed Euro 2016 campaign.
