Manchester United have won the FA Cup in a thrilling encounter against Crystal Palace at the Wembley Stadium.

The Red Devils came back from behind with 10 men on the pitch to clinch the trophy in an exciting encounter which ended 2-1 in favor of the Manchester based giants.

The FA Cup win marks United’s first major title since sir Alex’s final year in management when they won the English Premier League.

Manchester United’s acadamy graduate Jesse Lingard scored in the 110th minute during extra-time to win Van Gaal’s first trophy at Old Trafford.

This is the Red Devil’s record-equaling twelveth FA Cup title and the first since 2004, and comes as a relief for both the club and the fans after a falied attempt to qualify for the Champions League.

Earlier Crystal Palace had taken the lead in the 78th minute after a Jason Puncheon goal which led to Palace manager Alan Pardew perform a funny dance sequence on the touchline, but it was soon neutralised as Juan Mata scored for United just 3 minutes later.

The match was well worthy of being a Cup final as we saw United take out a trick from their history of never giving up and instrumenting a miraculous comeback, and a special mention to Crystal Palace supporters as they sang and for the most part out-sang the United fans which is a rare feat to achieve.

But the FA Cup might turn out to be the last trophy in the illustrious career of the legendary Dutch manager as rumors of him getting the sack are getting stronger by the hour. LVG had previousy stated that the Manchester job would be his last in football and that he wanted to bow out on the top.

Meanwhile it was a party atmosphere for the United fans across the globe with celebrations ablaze outside Wembley and in Manchester.
