Chelsea fans around the world are excited about the Blues being crowned the new champions. Fans are waiting with anticipation to see club Captain lifting the trophy.

Chelsea play Sunderland on May 24, after securing the league title with a win over Crystal Palace on May 3. This final game is a mere formality for the Mourinho-coached team.

Chelsea were touted as title contenders even before the season began, with some much needed bolster in the attacking unit with the arrival of . Club manager had exceeded expectations in the earlier season when he led Chelsea to finish at third spot with no striker scoring over 8 goals.

Mourinho transformed Chelsea in the two seasons since his return, from big spenders to smart spenders.

Mourinho sold Juan Mata, the two time reigning club player of the year to Manchester United for £37.1 millon at the start of the 2014-15 season.

David Luiz was sold to PSG for a whopping £40 millon, and André Schürrle for £22 million, and bought Diego Costa, and Filipe Luis for a combined total of £70.8 million.

The duo had instant success, leading the goals and assists table.

The new signings had an instant impact, with Costa leading the scoring charts and Fabregas leading the assists, though Luis spent much of the season on bench.

The back four of the Blues dominated attacks, with captain Terry holding the centre back position with Gary Cahill.

played a key role in holding the defence together and playing the midfield.

Matic has been second to none this season, perfectly blending into Mourinho’s 4-2-3-1 formation, by holding the defence and providing the ball to the midfield and attackers at every opportunity.

But if there is one man that Chelsea looked at in all crucial moments, one man the fans looked at, one man the manager looked at, it is Eden Hazard.

The recently elected PFA and Player of The Year, has had the season of his career; the Belgian has been immense throughout the campaign, keeping his performances at a consistently excellent level. Lest we forget, he has played the starring role in what is now a title triumph for Chelsea.

The stats alone are proof enough of the impact he has had in the current campaign. Hazard has created the most chances (88), attempted the most dribbles (254), completed the most dribbles (155) and drawn the most fouls (100).

The last stat is perhaps the most illuminating of them all. Such has been the difficulty opposition sides have had in dealing with the Belgian that they have frequently resorted to illegal measures. A player being fouled 100 times in a campaign is almost unheard of, and Hazard is sure to surpass that figure in the coming weeks.

Adding glory to the above statistics, 13 goals, 8 assists and 9 man-of-the-match awards, and you have some sort of indication as to just how good Eden Hazard has been this season.

While Diego Costa has been injured and when Cesc Fabregas has been slightly off colour, it has been the Belgian who has taken games by the scruff of the neck.

Hazard’s game this season has been lauded with praises from across Europe, with Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane praising the Belgian said, “I like Eden Hazard a lot too. I enjoy everything he does on the pitch. I like the way he carries himself, that decisive streak in him and the fact that he’s improving every year. He can still get better too, and I think he’s a big reason why Chelsea are on top of the table.”

Chelsea India Supporter Clubs (CISC), Delhi wing, has been very consistent and passionate about the club, with regular screenings, events and victory parades. The CISC will also be lifting a dummy Premier League Trophy.
