On loan Gunner, William Saliba has been suspended for 1 month from national team duty following an investigation opened up by French Football Federation (FFF). The 20 year old is being investigated for his involvement in a X Rated video from 3 years ago which recently resurfaced online.

In the video William Saliba was sitting next to a teammate while the teammate was touching himself inappropriately in a locker room with other youth team players wearing the France training kit. The video was sent on Snapchat which was later deleted.

The young highly rated center back is currently on loan to OGC Nice from Arsenal after he was not promised sufficient game time at the Emirates. He has been really good playing for OGC Nice and is one of the break out talents in France this year. The Frenchmen has appeared in 15 games games this season, impressing in majority of them.

The FFF set up an investigation committee for the video which was considered ‘harmful to the image of the federation and of football as a whole.’, immediately after the video resurfaced.

Saliba’s future at Arsenal looks even more bleak after this incident. Earlier this year, Saliba expressed that he was far from happy about how his situation was managed by Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta.

Young Brighton player, Ulrick Eneme Ella was also suspended after this incident and was eventually given three month ban from international football for the part he played in the video.

The suspensions for both the players would start from next week and both of the players have been warned about their conduct. Despite of the ban Saliba will be able to play for his club, OGC Nice in Ligue 1 where he has been impressive this season in a hope to break back into Arsenal’s first team next season.
