Man Utd Boss Jose Mourinho Requests £200M Spending Spree On Four Left-Footed Players
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is eyeing to rope in four left-footed players to bolster his squad in the summer.
The Red Devils splurged almost £150million to rope in Romelu Lukaku, Victor Lindelof and Nemanja Matic in the summer.
Mourinho also wanted to sign one more wide player during the summer transfer window to provide competition for Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Juan Mata. He had identified Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic as his top target but Man Utd failed to push through the deal for the Croatian winger.
The Portuguese boss is now worried about the lack of goals within his side despite Zlatan Ibrahimovic returning from injury to compete with Lukaku for a place in the starting XI.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Mourinho has requested the Man Utd board for a £200m transfer war-chest in order to sign four targets next summer.
Mourinho had revealed his interest in Gareth Bale in the summer but eventually things did not work out.
Real Madrid bosses have reportedly decided to put Gareth Bale for sale after becoming frustrated with the Welshman’s never-ending injury problems.
Bale is now out of action after suffering a fibrillar rupture to the adductor muscle of his left leg.
Previously, he spent several weeks on the sidelines with a calf injury – and this now means that the Welsh forward missed 91 of Real Madrid’s 250 games since he arrived at the Bernabeu in 2013.
The club bosses are not happy with Bale’s ever-growing injury concerns and according to Spanish reports, they have now made up their mind and are ready to put the former Spurs man for sale.
Antoine Griezmann was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United ahead of the summer transfer window.
However, a potential deal broke down due to Atletico Madrid’s transfer ban, which left the La Liga club unable to rope in a replacement.
And Griezmann announced during that time that he would stay put at Atletico as the La Liga club could not sign a replacement due to transfer embargo.
Griezmann’s future at Atletico Madrid will depend on how Diego Simeone inducts Diego Costa into the starting line-up once the Spanish striker officially signs in January.
Man Utd will have to break the bank for the French striker with Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona also keen to rope in the Atletico forward.
Mesut Ozil has been heavily linked with a move away from Arsenal with the former Real Madrid player stalling negotiations over a new deal with the Gunners.
Reports claim that Ozil is keen to reunite with former boss Jose Mourinho, having worked undr him at Real Madrid.
The German playmaker’s current contract at Arsenal will expire at the end of the season and it is being said that Man Utd are confident of roping him in for free next summer.
Tottenham full-back Danny Rose is reportedly eyeing a move to Manchester United.
Rose has fallen out with Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino after being snubbed in their 2-0 loss to Arsenal earlier this month.
The left-back is not happy with life at Spurs after lacking game-time under Pochettino this season and the Argentine manager is ready to let him leave. This means that Mouriho can rope in the Three Lions star earlier than hoped.
Man Utd will have to launch a tempting offer to rope in Rose as Spurs chairman Daniel Levy isnot willing to sell any of their players to a Premier League title rival.
