Man Utd Outcast Schneiderlin Agrees Personal Terms With Everton, Awaits Medical

Published on:

Manchester United outcast Morgan Schneiderlin is ready to complete Everton medical with the deal set to cost around £20 million.

The 27 year old midfielder has failed to establish himself as a Red Devils regular under Jose Mourinho and has been given permission to meet with the Toffees.

Louis Van Gaal signed Morgan Schneiderlin for £25 million from Southampton in 2015. The Frenchman has played only 11 minutes of Premier league football under Mourinho this term.

Jose Mourinho disclosed that the player asked to leave the club in December adding that he was not in the business of standing in way of the player fulfilling his potential elsewhere.

“[He is a] great professional, a fantastic boy, very honest, very open and he opened his heart a couple of times and my answer is simple… If he is playing regularly with me, I have the right to say ‘no way’. If he’s not playing regularly, I have no right to tell a player that, if he wants to be happy, you’re going nowhere,” said Mourinho.

“So my answer was that, if the offer is right and our board thinks the offer is a good offer in relation to a very good player like Morgan, I would not stop him [leaving].”

It is believed that Ronald Koeman is desperate to reunite with Morgan Schneiderlin who played for him at Southampton. If the deal runs smoothly, we may witness Schniederlin make his debut for Everton against Manchester City on January 15.

Koeman is also chasing Memphis Depay who saw his career up in smoke after falling out with new manager Jose Mourinho.

In his 18 months at United, Schneiderlin has played 47 fixtures. Ironically, his only goal for the club came in the 3-0 win at Everton in October 2015.

Will Morgan Scneiderlin be a good signing for Everton?
