England boss Gareth Southgate has announced the final 23-man England squad for the 2018 World Cup on Wednesday.

As we already knew Joe Hart and Jack Wilshere have both been axed but there are surprise call-ups for Liverpool teenager Trent Alexander-Arnold and Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Defenders: Jones (Man Utd), Cahill (Chelsea), Walker (Man City), Trippier (Tottenham), Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Rose (Tottenham), Young (Man Utd), Stones (Man City), Maguire (Leicester)

Midfielders: Dier (Tottenham), Henderson (Liverpool), Delph (Man City), Loftus-Cheek (Chelsea), Lingard (Man Utd), Alli (Tottenham)
