AC Milan Camp Filled With Confusion Says Rossoneri Legend Paolo Maldini
The 47 year old was very critical of the AC Milan leadership, claiming that the confusion at the top level was responsible for the current state of the iconic club.
Maldini is the co-owner of American second division club Miami FC.
According to Rossoneriblog Maldini said: “The current state of Milan? I would say that there’s a bit of confusion.
“The two CEO’s doesn’t not work. There is a lack of unity of purpose between Galliani and Barbra Berlusconi. A project is missing. It doesn’t help to have had five coaches in recent years, including three first-timers.”
“Berlusconi’s said I’m unavailable to return to Milan? It’s true I am co-owner of Miami FC, but I have no role within the club. I’ve helped to find a director of sport and a coach.
“I live in Milan, not the United States, despite what people say. I have always tried to build my future based on myself and without asking for anything. I have never descended to compromises in my career.
“Once something is finished then it’s finished. Consequently, I created an alternative to football. It’s not necessarily true that being a champion at a club means you must remain there as a director.
“The truth is that in recent years many of the people who worked at Milan called me to try and ask for help. Leonardo, Massimiliano Allegri, Clarence Seedorf and Barbara Berlusconi all called me.
“I always listened to them. I have a great life that is not just made up of football, but I will always be a Milan fan.”
