11. Jose Angel Crespo

Jose Angel Crespo

Crespo moved from Cordoba to Aston Villa and could only manage one appearance in what has been a disastrous season for both the player and the club.

10. Steven Caulker

Steven Caulker

Caulker moved from Queen Park Rangers and was a flop at Southampton, before signing for Liverpool.

The 24 year old could not impress Jurgen Klopp defensively and was often played up-front by the German coach.

9. Yohan Benalouane

Yohan Benalouane

Benalouane signed for the Premier League champions from Atlanta and could not cement his place in the side.

He just managed to make four appearances for the Foxes and was loaned out to Fiorentina, where to he failed to make any appearance.

8. Eder

Eder

The Portugese striker was signed by Swansea City to replace Wilfried Bony from Braga.

Eder failed to find the net in thirteen appearances before being loaned to Lille where he regained his form and scored five goals in eleven appearances.

7. Juanmi

Juanmi

Southampton secured the signing of Juanmi from La Liga outfit Malaga, but the striker could only manage twelve appearances.

The forward was a flop and could not manage even a single goal throughout the season.

6. Victor Ibarbo

Watford secured the loan signing of Ibarbo from Cagliari but the Columbian international turned out to be a flop at the Premier League outfit.

The winger just managed four appearances before being shipped to Atletico Nacional in the winter transfer window.

5. Henri Saivet

Henri Saivet moved to St James Park after spending ten years at Bordeaux.

His first season with the Magpies was filled with injuries and was made further dreadful by the relegation of the club.

4. Oumar Niasse

Oumar Niasse

Niasse moved to Everton from Lokomotiv Moscow for a fee of £13.5 million in January.

Niasse could only manage five appearnces and failed to find the net even once. His stay in England was further dented by his arrest by the Greater Manchester Police in an assault case.

3. Franck Tabanou

Swansea acquired the services of Tabanou from AS Saint-Etienne for a fee of £3.5 million, but the promising Frenchman failed to make an impact at the club.

He could only manage a single appearance against York in the League Cup and was loaned back to his former club shortly after.

2. Papy Djilobodji

Papy Djilobodji

Perhaps one of the most hilarious and ridiculous signing in Europe last summer was the transfer of Papy Djilobodji to Chelsea from FC Nantes.

Chelsea signed the Senegalese internaitional for a fee of £4 million on the deadline day, but the defender failed to make a single appearance in the league and only managed to play a single minute in a Capital One Cup tie against Walsall. He was loaned to Werder Bremen in January.

The Paraguayan winger was brought on loan by the Premier League newcomers Bournemouth from Roma.

Iturbe widely considered by many as of the best players to have come through from South America in recent times managed to make just two appearances and will be heading back to Roma next season.
