Chelsea And Tottenam Dominate As Kante, Conte, Alli And Lloris Scoop London Awards

Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspurs dominated the recently concluded London Awards as N’Golo Kante won the Player of the Year with Antonio Conte winning the Manager of the Year while Tottenham Hotspurs Dele Alli won the Young London Player of the Year with Hugo Lloris winning the Best Goalkeeper award.

Chelsea’s summer signings dominated the awards, with new-boy Kante, who signed from Leicester City winning the award ahead of the likes of team-mate Diego Costa, Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez and Tottenham’s Dele Alli and Danny Rose.

Blues boss Antonio Conte was crowned the manager of the year beating competition from Tottenham’s Mauricio Pochettino, Millwall’s Neil Harris, AFC Wimbledon’s Neal Ardley and Slavisa Jokanovic of Fulham.

Spurs star Dele Alli won the Young Player award ahead of the likes of Arsenal duo Hector Bellerin and Alex Iwobi, with Ademola Lookman and Ryan Sessegnon also nominated.

Alli has emerged as one of England’s top talent in the last two seasons and has become a key part of Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs revolution.

Whereas Kante has been instrumental in guiding Chelsea to the top this season – the never-tiring midfielder has been the engine behind the Blues revival.

His boss Conte has also been very impressive in his debut season in England, after successfully changing the structure at the Stamford Bridge as his Chelsea side sit at the top of the league table with a 10 point lead.

Lloris won the best goalie award beating the likes of Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, with Alex Smithies (QPR), Darren Randolph (West Ham) and Jordan Archer (Millwall).
