‘John Terry Is Bigger Than Bournemouth Will Ever Be!’ Fans React As Cherries Make Inquiry For Blues Skipper

Published on:

Bournemouth have made a loan inquiry for Chelsea captain John Terry after the 36-year-old lost his starting spot in the Blues line-up under boss Antonio Conte.

The former England skipper has been limited to just five Premier League appearances under Conte.

However, Terry has been out for the most part due to injury – but Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is willing to offer Chelsea’s ‘Captain, Leader, Legend’ a route back to the first-team.

The 36-year-old has been Chelsea’s captain for over 12 years now, but the veteran has now been told that this will be his last year at the club.

John Terry will not be given a contract extension by the club reports in England suggested.

Earlier Chelsea recalled Nathan Ake who was on loan at the Vitality Stadium and had become an integral part of Eddie Howe’s team.

The Cherries boss has been on the look-out to strengthen his back-line after Ake left for his parent club.

Terry started the FA Cup clash against Peterborough, but was sent-off in the 66th minute when he made a tackle on Lee Angol.

The Blues long-term skipper has spent his entire career at Stamford Bridge, barring a loan spell at Nottingham Forest in 2000 when he was 19-years-old.

Meanwhile fans on social media mocked the Cherries for aiming to land a player of John Terry’s caliber with some even suggesting that the former Three Lions star is bigger than Bournemouth will ever be.
