Mourinho Looking Dejected As Man Utd Officials Frustrated With Him After Third FA Charge In A Month
Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho looked a bit disheartened this morning on his way to the training complex as it is believed that the Manchester United bosses are now frustrated with the touchline antics of the Portuguese.
Mourinho was pictured in a full tracksuit and a hooded shirt as he was heading towards the Carrington training base from his interim home – the luxury Lowry Hotel in a Jaguar. The Special One looked miserable and low on confidence.
Under new manager Jose Mourinho, Man Utd have made the worst start in the Premier League – if we look at the last few seasons under David Moyes followed by Dutch boss Louis Van Gaal.
The Red Devils have only managed to clinch two wins in their last ten Premier League games. They sit sixth in the table with just 20 points after 13 games. Man Utd are 11 points behind league leaders Chelsea and eight points short of a Champions League spot.
It is now believed that Man Utd chief Ed Woodward has full confidence on Mourinho and will not adopt any measures to rectify his touchline antics. Mourinho was again sent off for kicking a water bottle out of anger during United’s frustrating 1-1 draw with West Ham at Old Trafford on Sunday.
However, all are not pleased with Mourinho’s recent behaviour.
Recent report claim that the other Man Utd bosses have increasingly grown concerned that Mourinho’s antics are gradually becoming a distraction for the players and others involved with the team as the Red Devils have made their worst start to the Premier League in 27 years.
This month has been a nightmare for Mourinho, who was earlier fined £50,000 for his controversial comments regarding referee Anthony Taylor. And later he was handed a one-match touchline ban after he sent to the stands in the Premier League clash against Burnley.
And now after being sent off once again in the clash with West Ham on Sunday for his touchline antics, Mourinho has until 6pm on Thursday to respond to the charge – that could see him getting a touchline ban for up to three games if proved guilty.
A statement from the FA read: “Jose Mourinho has been charged following Manchester United’s game against West Ham United on Sunday.”
“It is alleged his behaviour in or around the 27th minute of the game amounts to improper conduct.”
