Chelsea came back from a goal down to pile more misery on Tottenham Hotspur after an impressive 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge last night.
Christian Eriksen stunned the home crowd in the 11th minute with a marvelous strike to end Chelsea’s convincing defensive record.
The Blues were level before half time when Pedro beautifully curled a right footed shot from outside the box leaving no chance for Hugo Lloris.
Antonio Conte’s men were quick to react during second half as Victor Moses scored in the 51st minute to hand the Italian his 7th straight win in the Premier league.
“It was a big test because Tottenham is a big team with great organisation.”
“They started better than us with a lot of pressure when we had the ball and also they scored a fantastic goal.”
“Then I liked our reaction a lot — it wasn’t easy to react in this way but Pedro found the equaliser with what was also a fantastic finish.”
“And the goal Pedro scored gave us the right confidence.”
“After the first half we spoke and we found together the right solution to try to win the game.”
“In the second half we exploited situations we didn’t exploit in the first half.”
“I am happy when you win this type of game.”
“Tomorrow we have to concentrate on Manchester City, another strong team.”
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino said: “If you analyse the whole game maybe we deserved a draw.”
“In football sometimes it’s difficult to explain but this is not difficult to explain — they were clinical in front of the goal and we weren’t.”
