According to Belgian newspaper HLN, The Blues want to re-sign Romelu Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge in the upcoming transfer window.

Chelsea had earlier sold the striker to Everton for a whooping amount of £28 million in 2014 before he spent a successful season on loan at Goodison Park.

Lukaku got better in his game and gradually evolved to become a first class striker since he joined the Toffees back in 2013. The 23-year old forward has since scored 61 goals in 127 appearances with 18 of them in the recently concluded Premier League season.

Looking back at Chelsea’s disastrous season, it is evident that the club owner Roman Abramovich desperately looks to bolster the attacking department.

However Lukaku’s father has stressed that he wants to see his son playing in clubs like Bayern Munich or Bayern Munich. Earlier reports also suggest that the player’s agent Mino Raiola is hopeful of opening talks with the Serie A champions Juventus. On the contrary if recent rumours are to be believed, Chelsea are in the race to beat a number of clubs to sign the Belgian forward for the second time.

“Right now, I think the most suitable clubs for him are Bayern Munich or Manchester United,” said Lukaku’s father earlier this week.

“Bayern Munich at least reaches the semi-final of the Champion League every year and his playing style will make him a perfect fit in the Bundesliga.”

“What is certain is that to continue to progress, he needs to change club, he must make the right choice,” he added.

The only hurdle in front of the Blues would be to overcome the hefty  £65m transfer fee that Everton have in mind for their prized asset.

“Everton are asking around £65m for Rom. I think a transfer will be done before the Euros. Romelu will   decide his future, but agents have the last word most of the time. I hope and I think Mino Raiola is a honest man,” said Roger Lukaku.

Chelsea are also interested in opening talks with Napoli forward Gonzalo Higuain and Juventus goal machine Alvaro Morata to further strengthen the front line.
