Debutant Hebei China Fortune was held 1-1 by Shijiazhuang Ever Bright at home in the first-ever Hebei derby as the fifth round of 2016 Chinese Super League (CSL) ended on Sunday.

Dong Xuesheng broke the ice for the hosts as he got a pass from the 30-year-old Argentina striker Ezequiel Lavezzi and headed the ball into the box in the 34th.

Shijiazhuang equalized through Feng Shaoshun’s shot late in the first half, before neither team got luck in the second.

Li Tie, Hebei China Fortune’s head coach, said all can be satisfied with the tie.

“This is the first year for our club to be in CSL. It will be a lot of fun to recall today’s Hebei derby 10 or 20 years later,” he said.

Shijiazhuang’s coach Yasen Petrov was not satisfied with the result but players’ effort.

In other two matches, Beijing Guoan snatched their first win this season by beating Hangzhou Greentown 3-0 on road. Chongqing Lifan tied Changchun Yatai at 1-1, which left Changchun the only team without a win so far.

The sixth round will be held from April 22-24. Enditem
