England Captain Wayne Rooney is managing both the on-field and off-the-field duties on the same scale as FootTheball sources confirm that the Manchester United star has instructed his fellow teammates and their partners to keep a low profile during the on-going Euro 2016 Championship.
During the build up to England’s last-16 encounter against the dark horses Iceland, Wayne Rooney has advised the youngsters and their partners to avoid the spotlight during the competition.
FootTheBall understands that Rooney along with the other senior members in the squad has held talks with the Leicester star Jamie Vardy about his wife Rebekah ruling the headlines during the recent fan violence in France.
Rooney is the oldest member in the squad who also represented his country in England’s World Cup 2006 campaign when Rio Ferdinand had labelled the attending Wags as a ‘’Circus’’. Rooney has thus strictly reminded the players of the significance of keeping their feet grounded and to stay away from the limelight.

After making his instructions clear, the Manchester United captain spent quality time on the golf course with Jamie Vardy and were later joined by Spurs striker Harry Kane.
The Vardy’s were the hot topic of discussion prior to England’s opening fixture against Russia. Just before the warm-up matches Vardy got engaged to his long-time girlfriend Rebekah, with their wedding pictures going viral on social media.

Since the start of the tournament, Vardy’s wife Rebekah has been a prominent name on social media with her strong comments about the fan violence in France as she found herself in the middle of the clash between English and Russian fans in Marseille.

Rebekah has also made several Television appearances and wrote in a national newspaper regarding the manner the French police has handled the fan violence in France.
