Newly rich Everton are in the market to bolster their squad for the upcoming season as the Toffees look to become a major power in the Premier League.

The Toffees have been linked with almost every want-away star this summer, from Juan Mata to Marouane Fellaini.

But, according to recent reports Everton have now joined the race to sign Wolfsburg’s unsettled Wonderboy Julian Draxler.

Everton manager Ronald Koeman is keen on signing the 22-year star for Wolfsburg for the upcoming season.

Draxler who has already stated his desire to leave Wolfsburg this summer, has been promised by the club that he will be allowed to move on if any major European club shows interest in his services.

The German international has been on the radar of a number of clubs from around Europe, with Arsenal touted as the favorites to land the services of the 22-year-old.

But, Everton have beaten Arsenal, atleast for the time being, as the Merseyside club have opened talks with Wolfsburg to acquire the services of the German play-maker.

Draxler has £63 million buy-out clause in his contract, but the club have come out and issued a hands-off warning to interested clubs, stating that they have no intention of selling the player.
