The Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Friday started interviewing coaches shortlisted for the vacant senior national team coach job.
Reports in the local media said five coaches had been penciled down for the three-day interviews which are being held in Accra.
Former French international Willy Sagnol was the first to be interviewed by the six-member searching committee.
Others to be interviewed are Belgian Hugo Broos, the current Cameroonian national team coach, who guided Cameroon to win this year’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), and local man Kwesi Appiah, who coached the Black Stars at the 2014 FIFA world cup in Brazil, currently coaching Sudanese side Al Khartoum.
Former France international and ex-Oman national team coach Paul Le Guen and Italian Walter Zenga, who was formerly with English championship side Wolves, are also expected to meet the panel.
The GFA earlier this month set up the committee to hunt for a replacement for Israeli Avram Grant who ended his term by mutual consent at the end of February.
Over 90 coaches applied for the vacant job, according to a report in the local media.

The next Black Stars coach has the arduous task of qualifying the team for the 2018 world cup in Russia.
