Real Madrid target David de Gea has said that he does not want to play for Manchester United until his future is decided, the English Premier League giants’ manager Louis van Gaal has revealed.
In De Gea’s absence, Argentine custodian Sergio Romero – who signed on in the summer – kept a clean sheet in Saturday’s 1-0 triumph over Tottenham Hotspur.
“Frans Hoek (goalkeeping coach) … he has a meeting with David de Gea and he asked him: ‘Do you want to play?’ (De Gea said “No”). Then I have to take the decision. It is a process,” van Gaal was quoted as saying by the media.
The coach also stated that the Spanish goalkeeper has lacked focus in training.

“We had been observing him in preparation, he was not so good, he was not the same David de Gea as before. He was my best player last season. According to the fans, he was the best of the last two years,” the Dutchman said.
